Review: Weight Loss for Binge Eaters Course

Mental Health @ Home course review: Weight Loss for Binge Eaters

My blogging friend Ang of Lose Weight with Ang (who’s previously guest posted for MH@H on orthorexia), has developed a new course called Weight Loss for Binge Eaters, and I wanted to share it with you.

This description comes from the course page: “Weight Loss for Binge Eaters is designed to help you overcome your binge eating and lose weight in a way that promotes total wellness. You’ll learn how to lose weight healthily, along with the most effective technique to stop binging for good.”

The course includes videos, handouts, and worksheets. The video content is broken up into bite-size chunks, addressing the following topics:

  • Course Intro
    • Ang’s Story
    • Who Can Benefit From This Course
    • Binge Eating Disorder
  • Weight Loss Essentials
    • Healthy Eating Habits
    • Getting Fit
    • Habits for Weight Loss
    • Making a Weight Loss Plan
  • Stop Binge Eating
    • Eating Without Binging
    • How to Deal with Binge Cravings
    • Comforting Yourself Without Food
    • What to Do if You Binge Eat
    • Food Guilt

Ang has a history of binge eating disorder and body dysmorphia, and this course is based on both the research she’s done as well as what’s worked for her. I really like that her approach doesn’t involve diets, calorie restriction, giving up one’s favourite foods, or labelling foods as good or bad. It’s about making realistic, sustainable, healthy changes to support greater overall well-being.

In addition to the content being good, the visuals and audio were well done, and the Thinkrific course platform is easy to use. The course was well paced, and Ang is an animated and engaging speaker. Overall, I was really impressed, and I would definitely recommend this course for anyone who’s trying to get their binge eating under control and lose weight in a healthy manner.

You can find out more on the Weight Loss for Binge Eaters course page.

I was given free access to the course materials in exchange for an honest review.

  1. This course sounds amazing… right up to the point where she wants to charge for it. Unfortunately, some of us just aren’t in a position to pay. It’s too bad it’s not free content. 😪

      1. I have total faith that it’s absolutely worth the cost. I would be all in, if I could be. I do wish you the best of luck! I think what you’re doing is amazing! 🤩

  2. How Renard said, you have to burn more calories than you consume. To be the most successful in the loose weight you have to watch what you consume. 70% is food and 30% is exercise
