It’s MIMRA Time!

Oreo sitting with the MIMRA magic moments box

For the second year in a row, I was awarded the My Inner Mishmash Readership Award (MIMRA) by the lovely Emilia and her majestic cat Misha over at My Inner Mishmash. It arrived in the mail today, and Oreo wanted to model the goodies during the unboxing!

Oreo with Misha figurine beside her

This is Oreo with a solid stone (I’m not sure exactly the material) cat figurine that looks exactly like Misha. Oreo looks a bit startled because she wasn’t expecting it to be as heavy as it was.

In these pics, Oreo is hanging out the yummy goodies – a mix of sweet, salty, and hot drink mix.

Here’s Oreo with the lovely smelling things: lavender bath salts and ylang ylang essential oil, which I’ve got running in my aromatherapy diffuser right now!

This gorgeously intricate cushion cover is exactly the right size for this cushion that lives in my bedroom and previously had a very boring, neutral cover.

Thanks so much to Emilia for this amazing MIMRA!

  1. OMG – that cushion cover is to die for! You lucky lady, you…(and lavender is my go-to stress reliever – I do gift my stressed out friends wwith it all the time.)

  2. Oreo must look soooo cute with all that MIMRA stuff, great that you both had some fun with the pics! You did deserve the MIMRA thoroughly. πŸ™‚
In the shop where I got the figurine, it was said that it’s “Pakistani onyx” however given my previous experiences with this shop as a very unexperienced precious and semi-precious stone collector a few years ago, as well as the price of the thing compared with average prices of onyx, I’m quite sceptical of that. Still, it looks really nice and decorative, regardless what it’s made of, I think.
So amazing that the cover happens to fit your cushion, and that it seems to be so popular with your readers, haha!

    1. I just looked up Pakistani onyx, and I think that’s what it is. I think of onyx as being black, but Pakistani onyx is green or grown, and this is a mix of dark and light brown.

Yes, as soon as I saw the cushion cover, I thought oh, that’s exactly the right size!

      1. Oh wow, that’s so cool with the Pakistani onyx that it’s actually what it is! :O I knew the colour was right, but I’ve seen a lot of stone imitations in there so I just didn’t think it seriously would be what they say it is!

  3. Congratulations! Oreo has done a wonderful job as a model. Will it be the front page of QC Magazine next? πŸ˜‰ Love the goodies, and that’s a beautiful cushion cover. Sounds like a great fit to replace your previous one. xx

  4. Oh my gosh, you photographed everything with Oreo, that little photo bomber! That’s so creative!! Go you!! πŸ˜€ I love it!!
