Weekend Wrap-Up

Weekend Wrap-Up

wrapping paper, ribbon, and twine

Here’s what happened in my life over the past week:

  • I like the WordPress Reader, but it can be annoying sometimes. I accidentally scheduled Tuesday’s post for Monday. I took it down right away, but it stuck around in the Reader. Then when I republished it on Tuesday, it wouldn’t show up in the Reader until I made it into a whole new post. Grrr.
  • It’s been a rather yucky week, and it being done is a good thing.
  • I’ve had this draft open for a while trying to think of something more to say, but I’ve got nothing, so it is what it is.

RIP Sean Connery, and his amazing voice along with him.

How has your week been?

  1. My week has been good. I have been having trouble with the WordPress scheduler as well. It seems to schedule things on one screen at one time and at another time on a different screen. So, the problems with WordPress continue!

  2. The WordPress reader can certainly be frustrating at times, glitchy too.

I’m sorry your week has been rather yuck. It’s feeling increasingly dark, oppressive and miserable lately in general with the weather and the news, let alone anything else. I was so sad when I read about Mr Connery, too. I know he was 90, but still, he always felt like one of those people who’d never die. You know what I mean? Very sad indeed.

I’d hoped to watch a film this weekend but my concentration is so flagging that I can only focus on anything for 15 minutes tops. I hope you’re able to find something to distract yourself for this evening, Ashley. Something to give your break a little break.xx

  3. Sean Connery is dead? Oh no!!! 🙁 So much sadness. Wilford Brimley died a while back, too. 🙁

My week has been better than last week by a multiple of a million. I’ve noticed some fatigue, though. (I mistyped fatigue with the keyboard and typed “fart” before I hit delete and made it “fatigue”. Go figure.) I’ve been sleeping for twelve hours a night and can’t be wakened. I don’t know if it’s the shift in the weather or the fact that I’ve been doing exterior manual labor, but I haven’t worked more than an hour a day at it, and I have power tools. I mean, geez. I’m not sure what the deal is, but I have long and abiding dreams, so I must be trying to work through something. And tonight, to add to all that, well, today’s Halloween, YAY! And tonight at midnight, two interesting things happen, and I’m not even sure in which order: NaNoWriMo begins, but as soon as it does, the time skips back from midnight to 11:00 PM for the time change. So… NaNoWriMo doesn’t begin? There’s a stumper. No clue. But between you and me, I think I’ll use the extra hour to write! 😀 Shh, don’t tell anyone.

Awwww, what a cute guinea! That’s a great photo, too, with his white fur and the white cage and navy blue!!

Big election this week!! Next week’s Weekend Wrapup is going to be wild one way or another! Hold onto your seats everyone!! AAAAUGH!!!!!!

  4. Sorry you have had a yucky week.

My week has been ok, lots of research/looking things up. Think im finally understanding whats going on. Not sure its going to get me very far though.

  5. Glad my week is over. Good and bad.
Good, my laptop came early and having fun with my friends downstairs.
Bad, reduction in work hours, because of change of working in evening job. (Although still being paid old hours which possibly will happen until February, with consultation or whatever you call it still going on.)
My job doesn’t feel safe, even though it supposedly still is.
    Mixed feelings.

  6. Didn’t realize Sean Connery had died. He was definitely the best of the James Bonds. My week – well I think you know. Kinda dull and down. Yes glad it’s over and here’s to a better week.

    1. I happened to check my Twitter notifications this morning, and Twitter decided I should know about Sean Connery.

      There’s to.a better week, indeed.
