A Valentine’s Day Love Letter

A Valentine's Day Love Letter to My WP Family - images of pink hearts

Valentine’s Day is ridiculously commercialized, and it comes with a mix of obligations for the attached and hints of inadequacy for the unattached.  However, setting all of that aside, it’s also an opportunity to convey affection and appreciation for the people that matter.  So, in that spirit, here’s a quick Valentine’s Day message to my WordPress family.

Dear WordPress family:

While Valentine’s Day is most associated with couples (and businesses parting people from their money), the lovely people on my mind today are all of you.

Since I began blogging 2 1/2 years ago, you have given me the sense of community that I simply don’t have in my offline life.  I’ve met a lot of amazing people, and continue to meet new fabulous people all the time.

This is a safe place to share both good things and difficult things, and laughter and tears. The level of mutual support is truly astonishing, especially since it’s so readily offered.

So thank you, to each and every one of you, for helping to make this the wonderful community that it is.

Much love,

Ashley

  2. This brought tears to our eyes. Ashley, you are a Treasure! Until you came along, we were floundering in this community. Do you realize you are the owner of the most important B&B, the best tea shop, the top place to feel welcome? It’s your blog! You are the glue! For us, WP Community starts with you.

    Happy Valentine! 💕❤️☕️

  4. Such a beautiful letter! I must really thank you for being so supportive, fun and a good friend. It’s such a good feeling to be able to express myself and like you wrote, to share, to feel recognized in the sorrows as in the laughter in this community.
Happy Valentine to you too (little too late but still) and hugs for the piggies as well! I love Caspers and Oreos hair, it’s so playful. <3
