Book Release: The Silent Scream

Book cover: The Silent Scream by Maria Alfieri

Today is the launch day for The Silent Scream, an anthology put together by Maria Alfieri.  It includes stories of pain and struggle, in the form of narratives, poetry, art, and photography, with the aim of showing readers that they are not alone.  I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to contribute a story about suicide.

There’s more information about the project on Maria Alfieri’s website, and the book is available on Amazon. I’ve also reviewed The Silent Scream here.

The launch is timed to coincide with Time to Talk Day, organized by the British charity Time to Change.  Let’s keep this mental health conversation going!

  1. o I didn’t heard about Time to talk day yet.
Huge congratulations on your contribution to the book. It sounds really worth the read and I fully agree on the goal of the book.

    1. For some reason there seems to be issues on the Canadian store and it says it won’t ship for 1-2 months. I don’t know what’s going on there.

  2. I’m seeing it’s $18 here in America for paperback, so I’m going to put it on my wishlist! Hopefully I can buy it soon!!

    1. I’m waiting until delivery on the Canadian site gets sorted out. The editor of the book mentioned that the relatively high price point is because it’s got colour art and photography,.

        1. Enough time has passed that it’s not difficult. I’ve written enough about it before that cathartic is probably too strong a word for how it feels now, but it is a positive feeling.
