I’ve seen a few people mention online that it’s the International Day of Happiness. I was a bit skeptical, so I took a look at the website, https://www.dayofhappiness.net. This year’s theme is “Happier Together, focusing on what we have in common, rather than what divides us.” They have a Ten Keys to Happier Living guidebook, which is focused on taking action rather than trite suggestions to think positive.
What I am focusing on today is gratitude. My guinea pig Squeaky is still with me, although he’s very sick and isn’t going to win this war. But we’re able to have some nice cuddle time before he goes, and I’m grateful for that.
I love that the theme this year is Happier Together!
Me too!
Wishing Squeaky so much soul as he gradually transitions, and wish you so much soul too as you cuddle and face this rude reality dearest Ashley.
Thank you ❤️
Aww Squeaky… 💖
❤️
We love you, Squeaky!! You’re a wonderful guinea pig!!! Many hugs and pats and treats!!
❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing this website. I, of course, signed up for the newsletters. I had never heard of The International Day of Happiness, and find this so inspiring! Even if being or trying to be a positive person is trite. LOL!
I hadn’t heard of it before either.
I checked my e-mail a couple of minutes ago, and they provide me more about their organization. I look forward to reading it!! 😊
Squeaky is a fighter! Still not in much pain, I hope. Death can be a long transition for some.
I’m fairly sure the main issue is respiratory, so I think he’s exhausted but not in pain. He’s quite the trooper.
Sending <3 to you and Squeaky. Happier Together is a very good theme!
❤️
I just love this Action for Happiness resource you attached. I really appreciate your bringing it to my attention! Sorry to hear about Squeaky’s health.
Thanks xo
