A Halloween virtual costume parade

Halloween was fun as a kid, but since then I’ve never had much interest, and dressing up seems like more of a production than it’s worth.  But if by chance someone were to bop me over the head and knock some Halloween fever into me, these are the characters I’d think about dressing up as.

She-Ra princess of powerShe-Ra Princess of Power, the alter ego of Princess Arora, and He-Man’s sister.  Damn the 80’s were a wonderful thing.

Jem and the HologramsSticking with the 80’s theme, we’ve got Jem and the Holograms.  Because who wouldn’t want to be a rock star with massive pink hair?

rainbow unicornA rainbow unicorn – really, no explanation required

woman with phoenix wingsOk maybe I don’t actually want to be on fire, but the phoenix wings look pretty darn cool.

Grumpy CatI sometimes feel like the human version of grumpy cat, so why not?

hairless guinea pigThis ugly little critter is a hairless guinea pig, also known as a skinny pig.  They look kind of like a dwarf hippopotomus.  This is pretty much what my beautiful little babies look like under their mops of hair.

What would be your fantasy Halloween costume?

Love the rainbow unicorn. 😂 I don’t get into costumes but I throw an awesome party every year for my kids. Each year I plan a murder mystery. This year I added a haunted graveyard/maze. Scaring kids is so much better than wearing uncomfortable clothes!!! 😂

OMG, I love this blog post! It leaves me wanting more!! You’re right–rainbow unicorn needs no explanation!!

I loved She-Ra too!! But He-Man was my fave! HA HA HAH AHA. I have no idea why. I liked Skeletor too and used to play with my brother’s Skeletor castle toys. GRUMPY CAT!! I LOVE GRUMPY CAT!!

I don’t do halloween at all but love dressing up and costuming was a big part of a former hobby, however there are times when it’s all too much trouble. Laziest costume so far was borrowing scrubs from work and drawing eyes and a mouth on a cardboard box so I could be the evil Dr Cube from Kaiju Big Battel. I think right now I’d go for a paper plate drawn on with texta plus a black bedsheet to look like No Face from the movie Spirited Away. A far cry from the example of a colleague and his wife who access to friends’ skills of dental prosthetic technician and optician and complemented their werewolf and vampire costumes with temporary tooth veneer fangs and special contact lenses – the photos were awesome.

Jem, Jem is truly outrageous… contagious… Jem is my name, no one else is the same… Jem! Thanks, Ashley. That will be on a loop in my head as I try to sleep tonight. Great costume ideas! I’d really have to go with She-Ra, that outfit is sexxxy.

I used to dress up as a witch during Halloween because I have that costume at home 😂 It also take a lot of time now so this year I didn’t go to anywhere. I love the rainbow unicorn 💕
