This has been a fairly uneventful week with no significant stressors. Here’s what’s been going on in my world:
- My blog was followed by “Male Enhancement Supplements” – just what every gal needs, right? I’m just glad the profile pic wasn’t a penis…
- I only worked one day this week.
- I did 2 hour-long writing sessions working on my trauma account. It’s emotionally intense and exhausting, but I feel like I’m starting to see patterns more clearly. There’s still quite a bit of work to do, but I think it’s going to be a productive exercise.
- I hadn’t been reading as much recently but this week accomplished my goal of getting through an entire book.
- I was able to get in several afternoon naps. I don’t usually sleep during my naps, but it’s a time to just completely turn off my brain.
- I went to restorative yoga class twice.
- I’ve had quite a bit of vertigo this week. Neither my family doctor nor my naturopathic doctor are sure of the cause, but aren’t too concerned at this point.
- I wrote a list of tasks for a major spring clean, and made a small dent in that list.
- I love that spring is springing, and flowers are starting to appear.
- I have a family of northern flicker woodpeckers (I just looked this up the other day) roosting on my balcony. Papa woodpecker has been with me for over a year, but mama and kidlet are new. They’ve provided me with literally hours of amusement, and it’s one of the best mindfulness exercises there is. When mama is getting kidlet up and out of the roost in the morning and then tucking him in to bed at night, she likes to mark her territory by pecking at my bbq, which at this point is still endearing rather than annoying.
Mama woodpecker is on the left, just fine with perching vertically. On the right is the timid kidlet poking his head out of the roost.

Kudos to you for getting that much done.
My week has been nothing but chaotic, but positive overall. I just finished composing a “to-do” list, because I felt like drowning in all the things that need doing.
Happy Easter, if you celebrate. Otherwise, have a great weekend.
Same to you! I love to-do lists 🙂
They definitely slow down my insanity and allow me to see a less tangled path.
Awww!!! Baby woodpeckers!!
Yay!!!
Sounds like a great week for you, and those woodpeckers are adorable!
Yes they are!!!
We have so much in common, and so many of the same issues 🙂 This is like reading my own thoughts in some ways lol.
Cool!
You are doing so good!
Thanks 🙂
yay for being productive!
Yay!
I’ve just nominated you for the Blogging Chums award. 🙂
