Weekend wrap-up

wrapping paper, ribbon, and twine

In my bullet journal, I have a section devoted to weekly summaries.  Here’s some of what made it into my summary for this week:

  • A post of mine was published on Old Cove Road
  • I got my 2nd round of Botox shots (an update on that will be coming soon)
  • I did pretty well with healthy eating
  • I had a mini-meltdown at work.  I figured out fairly quickly that it was about some unresolved issues from the past and not about the person who unwittingly triggered it, and I was pleased with that.  Still, it took me a couple of days to recover from the resulting mental exhaustion.
  • I felt positive about some interactions I had with a client at work with BPD, as I was able to provide validation that unfortunately she’s just not getting enough of (more about this in an upcoming post)
  • I’ve been really enjoying my new Karma soap from Lush.  Nice smelling things are such a great way to practice self-care.
  • I did a major home clean today.  It just hasn’t been a priority lately, but it had gotten to the point where it was kind of grossing me out.

So, that’s my week.  I hope all of you have had a good one 🙂

Sounds like a pretty hard week, but good for you for self-care and cleaning the house. We had no water for a week until yesterday, and the electricity was out for a day+, so this place is pretty much worse than even usual, and usually it’s pretty casual!

Electricity was back on by Satuirday, so at least the one room with the elderly cats in it had the plug-in heater, but no water until some half-hour here and there the last couple of days made it not good around here. The guy who owns the water utility lives in Long Island apparanely and refuses to get a generator since it ‘would be expensive’, but it’s a public utility that serves a few dozen houses. People are reporting him to the board of whatever, finally, so we’ll see what happens. I look forward to things like bathing and flushing ona regular basis!

Great job on your self care. I found it to be exhausting for me this week. I think mostly because I am struggling to fight this damn depressive swing. Gggrrrr

Congrats on the published post! Your week sounds a lot like me if I was still working outside of the home. Sometimes I miss it, sometimes I’m so glad I’m not in that stress anymore.
